Little Feat is an American rock band formed in 1969 by Lowell George and Bill Payne. Known for their eclectic style, which blends rock, blues, country, and folk elements, the band has undergone several lineup changes over the years. Little Feat has released many critically acclaimed albums, including their 1972 debut "Little Feat," "Dixie Chicken" (1973), and "Feats Don't Fail Me Now" (1974). The band's music often features intricate instrumental arrangements, witty lyrics, and a laid-back, California vibe.
Lowell George was the band's original lead vocalist and guitarist, but he left the band in 1979 to pursue a solo career. Tragically, George died in 1979, but Little Feat continued to perform and record with various lineups, including Paul Barrere, who joined the band in 1972 and was a key member until his death in 2019.
