Born in Meridian, Mississippi, in 1944, Bandy began his career in the 1960s, releasing his debut album, "It Was Always So Easy," in 1974. Throughout his career, he has had numerous hit singles, including "Bandy the Rodeo Clown," "Hank Williams, You Wrote My Life," and "I Cheated Me Right Out of You."
