Disco Risque

Disco Risqué is a dynamic band known for blending high-energy rock with funky elements, creating a unique sound that has captivated audiences across the U.S. Founded in 2014 by guitarist Charlie Murchie and drummer Robert “Slim” Prescott in Charlottesville, Virginia, the band quickly expanded to include bassist John Bruner and later, vocalist/trumpet player Ryan “Swimsuit” Calonder in 2015. Their lineup has evolved over time, with the addition of bassist Andrew "The Champ" Hollifield and keys player Sean Hodge, who joined in 2020.

Disco Risqué has released several albums and EPs, including their debut double album in 2016 and more recent works like *Joke Squad* and *Evil on Tape*. The latter, recorded at Dave Matthews' Haunted Hollow studios, showcases a matured sound with a mix of progressive rock and more serious, romantic themes. Their live performances are known for their infectious energy, featuring fast drum and bass breaks, screaming guitar solos, and big horn sections.
