Goldfinger

Goldfinger is an American ska punk band that formed in 1994 in Los Angeles, California. Conceived by vocalist and guitarist John Feldmann, the band has undergone various lineup changes throughout its career, with Feldmann being the only consistent member. Through their high-energy fusion of punk rock melodies and ska rhythms, Goldfinger quickly became one of the more prominent bands in the third-wave ska movement of the mid-90s. Notably, their self-titled debut album, released in 1996, featured their hit single "Here in Your Bedroom," which garnered significant airplay and helped cement their place in the punk scene.

Their success continued with albums like "Hang-Ups" (1997) and "Stomping Ground" (2000), displaying their ability to blend infectious hooks with socially conscious lyricism. Over the years, Goldfinger has been known for their dynamic live performances and have found a particular resonance with audiences through tracks like "Superman," which achieved iconic status after being featured in the video game Tony Hawk's Pro Skater. With the release of "The Knife" in 2017, the band marked a return to form, exhibiting the strong brass-laden hooks and energetic punk anthems that originally defined their sound. In more recent years, Goldfinger has continued to engage fans through both new music and live recordings as evidenced by their albums "Never Look Back" and the various live renditions of their classic hits, demonstrating their enduring appeal in the ever-evolving landscape of rock music.
