Ace Troubleshooter is an American Christian punk rock band, hailing from Minneapolis, Minnesota. Formed in 1995, the group initially gained traction in the underground music scene with their energetic riffs, tight melodies, and earnest lyrical themes encompassing faith, love, and the trials of adolescence. Among the band's original lineup were John Warne (vocals, bass), Josh Abbott (guitar), and Dave Douglas (drums), who were later joined by guitarist Toby David.
Gaining significant momentum in the early 2000s, Ace Troubleshooter became synonymous with the new wave of punk-infused Christian music. They signed with Tooth & Nail Records, a label known for bringing faith-based punk and alternative music to a broader audience. The band's self-titled album 'Ace Troubleshooter' released in 2000, introduced fans to hits like "Tonight" and "Misconceptions." Continued success followed with the 2002 release of 'The Madness of the Crowds', showcasing the band’s evolving sound and polished production. Despite this, their 2004 album 'It's Never Enough' would be their swansong as the band decided to go their separate ways shortly after its release. Throughout their career, Ace Troubleshooter was known for their infectious hooks, lively performances, and a resolute approach to their message, leaving a lasting impression on the Christian rock scene.
