**Seoi Nage** is a German instrumental trio (sometimes playing as a four-piece) from Münster, blending **1970s funk**, Eastern martial arts cinema vibes, Italian giallo, and psychedelic noir into what they call "Fan Art Music." The band—Jakob Hersch on Taishogoto, Anton Zimmermann on drums, and Pogo McCartney handling bass, guitar, synthesizer, and piano—draw their name from a classic judo throw, reflecting their shared martial arts roots. All members bring long musical histories to the table, crafting groove-heavy tracks that feel like scenes from imaginary crime films or sleazy car chases.

They dropped their debut album **No Retreat, No Surrender** on October 10, 2025, via This Charming Man Records, spanning 11 cinematic cuts with tracks like "Brotherhood Of The Wolf," "Caine VS Shaolin Bounty Hunter," and "The Gentle Way." Expect hypnotic live shows with projected visuals, as they've toured spots like Münster's Black Box and Berlin's Schokoladen.
