Hector del Curto

Hector del Curto is an Argentine bandoneón master keeping the soul of tango alive with a modern twist. Born into a family of tango enthusiasts in Buenos Aires, he began playing the bandoneón at age 10 and grew up immersed in the smoky milongas and vibrant traditions of the genre. After sharpening his skills alongside legends like Astor Piazzolla and Osvaldo Pugliese, del Curto brought his fiery passion to New York City’s eclectic music scene. He’s become a bridge between eras, collaborating with jazz innovators (including Paquito D’Rivera) and leading projects like his *Eternal Tango* ensemble, which reimagines classics while honoring their raw emotional core. Whether through albums like *Eternal Piazzolla* or live performances that crackle with energy, del Curto’s music feels both timeless and freshly inventive – a love letter to tango’s past and future.
