Boréalys

Boréalys is a Canadian atmospheric black metal project formed in 2019 in Abitibi, Quebec. The band explores themes of history and heritage through their music, often incorporating elements of their local environment into their narrative. In 2018, Julius joined the project as the drummer, followed by K. for bass and mix/mastering in 2020. Boréalys released their album "L'héritage" in 2023, which showcases their atmospheric approach to black metal. The project is known for its duo format, focusing on the storytelling of their terroir through music.

Boréalys' music is deeply rooted in the history and landscapes of Quebec, reflecting a strong connection to their local identity. Their albums, such as "Apitipik : Vers l'orphelinat" and "Là où les eaux se séparent," continue this narrative, blending historical themes with atmospheric black metal to create a unique sound.
