Symbyosis

Symbyosis is a French progressive death metal band founded by Franck Kobolt and Corrosive Bob. The band's origins date back to 1998 when Kobolt began composing songs for a personal project called Chrysalid. Over time, the project evolved into Symbyosis, with additional members joining to expand the musical scope. In June 1999, they started recording their first album, *Crisis*, which was released in November 2000. The band also released a mini-album titled *The Fluid* in October 2000. Following a tour and some lineup changes, Symbyosis released *On the Wings of Phoenix* in December 2005, a double album showcasing their musical diversity. The band's current lineup includes Franck Kobolt on guitar, Corrosive Bob on vocals, Nikos Kevorkian on guitar, Antoine Rognon on bass, and Tariq Zulficar on drums.

Symbyosis's music often incorporates elements from various influences, including Slayer, Iron Maiden, and Napalm Death, reflecting their progressive metal style. Despite facing challenges such as losing their record deal with Listenable Records in 2001, the band persevered and continued to produce music independently. Their releases, such as *Voyager* and *Life is a Phoenix*, demonstrate their resilience and dedication to their craft. Symbyosis's journey is marked by a blend of personal and musical evolution, showcasing their ability to adapt and create complex, engaging music.
