Little Girls

**Little Girls** is the moody, reverb-drenched solo project of Toronto-based musician Joshua McIntyre, who started cooking up his brand of lo-fi post-punk in 2009. With a DIY ethos, McIntyre handled most of the recording and instrumentation himself, blending jagged guitars, haunting vocals, and hypnotic rhythms that nodded to ’80s darkwave and noise rock. His debut EP *Thrills* (2009) and full-length album *Concepts* (2011) became cult favorites, earning praise for their raw energy and brooding atmosphere. Tracks like “Tambourine” and “Cults” (featured on *Concepts*) showcase his knack for turning gritty, minimalist grooves into strangely danceable anthems. Though Little Girls’ output slowed after the early 2010s, McIntyre’s work remains a gritty time capsule of underground cool, perfect for late-night drives or basement shows.
