Celestial Shore

Celestial Shore was a Brooklyn-based indie rock trio known for their intricate math-rock rhythms and psychedelic pop hooks. Active throughout the 2010s, the band consisted of Sam Owens (vocals/guitar), Greg Newton (bass), and Jesse DeCarlo (drums). They built a cult following with their genre-blurring sound, blending frenetic guitar work, off-kilter time signatures, and sun-drenched melodies. Their 2013 debut *10x* and 2016 follow-up *Enter Ghost* (released via Hometapes) showcased their knack for balancing cerebral complexity with infectious energy. After touring extensively and releasing singles like *Die for Us* and *Sunnyland*, the band quietly disbanded around 2017, with Owens shifting focus to his solo project Sam Evian. Celestial Shore’s brief but vibrant catalog remains a hidden gem for fans of adventurous, melody-driven indie rock.
