Panorama Jazz Band

Panorama Jazz Band is a vibrant New Orleans-based group known for their wide-ranging and dance-oriented jazz style that blends global dance idioms with traditional jazz roots. Led by clarinetist Ben Schenck, the band has been a staple of the New Orleans music scene since 1995, starting out as a wedding band and expanding into an eclectic seven-piece mini-orchestra. Their sets can seamlessly journey from Caribbean swing waltzes and Macedonian wedding dances to Jewish folk tunes, reflecting an adventurous embrace of world music filtered through a New Orleans jazz lens. The band’s lineup features a dynamic mix of instruments including accordion, trombone, sousaphone, saxophone, and drums, supporting Schenck’s clarinet and vocals.
