Black Tide

Black Tide was a heavy metal band from Miami, Florida, formed in 2004. Known for their blend of traditional heavy metal influences with a modern metalcore edge, the band made an impression early on with their debut album, Light From Above, in 2008. At the time, the band members were remarkably young, with lead guitarist and vocalist Gabriel Garcia just 14 when the band signed their first major label deal. Their youthful energy and classic metal sound drew comparisons to genre icons like Metallica and Iron Maiden.

The group followed up with albums like Post Mortem and the Chasing Shadows EP, showcasing a continued evolution in both sound and songwriting. Over the years, Black Tide underwent several lineup changes and shifts in musical direction, exploring harder, more aggressive tones in later releases. Despite disbanding in the late 2010s, the band left behind a passionate fanbase and a legacy of blending old-school metal with next-gen intensity.
