The Pussybats

The Pussybats are an alternative rock band from Germany, formed in 2006, known for their unique blend of alternative, gothic rock, and glam influences. They first gained attention after winning the "Battle of the Bands" hosted by Sonic Seducer magazine in 2007 and performing at the Wave-Gotik-Treffen festival in Leipzig the same year. Their early releases include the EP *Miss Purgatory* (2007) and the single *No Romeo* (2008), followed by the debut album *Famous Last Songs* (2009). The band is noted for their dark-glam take on songs, such as their popular cover of White Town’s *Your Woman*.

Over the years, The Pussybats have released several albums, including *PussyPussyBangBang* (2014), which features new versions of earlier songs, and *Indestructible* (2017), showcasing collaborations with artists linked to the metal and gothic scenes. Their sound combines gothic rock intensity with indie and glam elements, creating a distinctive atmosphere. Despite lineup changes, particularly in the guitar section, The Pussybats continue to produce music with a consistent style, maintaining a loyal fanbase in the alternative and goth rock communities.
