Alexander Kaminsky is a renowned figure in the music education sector, particularly known for his work as a band director and educator. He was appointed as the Director of Bands and Associate Professor of Music at VanderCook College of Music in 2019. Prior to this, he had a highly successful tenure at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. Throughout his career, Kaminsky's ensembles have consistently earned top ratings and have performed at prestigious events like the Midwest Clinic. He holds degrees from the University of Florida and Indiana University and is recognized for his achievements with numerous awards, including being named Florida's 2019 FMEA Secondary Music Educator of the Year.
