Netherlands Bach Society

The Netherlands Bach Society is one of the oldest early music ensembles in the world, founded in 1921 with a mission to perform the works of Johann Sebastian Bach and his contemporaries. Based in the Netherlands, the group is especially known for its historically informed performances, using period instruments and performance practices to bring Baroque music to life as authentically as possible.

The ensemble is also behind the ambitious project "All of Bach," an ongoing initiative to record and share performances of all of Bach's works online for free. With a roster of top-tier vocalists and instrumentalists, the Netherlands Bach Society continues to shape the landscape of early music with passionate performances of both celebrated masterpieces like the St. Matthew Passion and hidden gems of the Baroque repertoire.
