Myster DL

Myster DL is a multifaceted hip-hop artist—an MC, producer, engineer, DJ, promoter, and booking agent—who’s been contributing to underground rap for over a decade. Based in Lowell, MA, with roots stretching from New York to Miami and California, Myster DL (also known as Kyng David) is a key member of the 100MAD movement alongside legends like Fredro Starr and Sticky Fingaz, and he’s the founder and CEO of ILL Mannered Records. His style is defined by a gritty, hypnotic flow and a willingness to tackle real-life topics—everything from cannabis culture, politics, and romance to the everyday struggles and realities of life, often delivered with a sound that’s both laidback and packed with energy.

From 2005 to 2007, he released an official debut LP (The Calm Before the Storm) and three mixtapes, with his early work earning nominations in The Source Magazine for Unsigned Hype and as Boston Producer of the Year. Myster DL has collaborated with major underground MCs, including appearances on tracks with B-Real, Flipmode, Boot Camp, Gangstarr, and Kool G Rap, and has directed music videos through his ILL Mannered Films imprint. His catalog includes a dozen albums, with recent notable projects like Terminal Illness, a full collaboration with Termanology, and more, cementing his underground credibility.
