Simone Kleinsma

Simone Kleinsma, born on May 8, 1958, in Amsterdam, is a celebrated Dutch singer, musical theater actress, and television personality known for her vibrant career spanning over four decades. She trained at the Academie voor Kleinkunst and gained early recognition in musical theater, starring in renowned productions such as *Les Misérables* (as Madame Thénardier), *Sweeney Todd* (as Mrs. Lovett), *Mamma Mia!* (as Donna), *Chicago* (as Roxie Hart), and *Sunset Boulevard* (as Norma Desmond). Kleinsma has won multiple John Kraaijkamp Musical Awards, notably for her roles in *Sunset Boulevard* and *Mamma Mia!*. Beyond the stage, she is also known for her role in the Dutch TV series *Kees & Co*, for which she performed the theme song, showcasing her versatile talents in both acting and singing.

In 2023, Simone Kleinsma celebrated a milestone of 46 years in the performing arts with her own successful musical, *De Hospita*.
