Susanna and the Magical Orchestra is a Norwegian duo consisting of vocalist Susanna Wallumrød and keyboardist Morten Qvenild. Known for their minimalist, atmospheric sound, the group blends elements of pop, electronica, and jazz. They gained attention for their unique interpretations of well-known songs, including covers of Dolly Parton's "Jolene" and Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah".
The duo released their debut album "List of Lights and Buoys" in 2004, followed by "Melody Mountain" in 2006 and "3" in 2009. Susanna's clear, cool voice is a defining feature of their sound, often accompanied only by Qvenild's sparse keyboard arrangements. While they've toured extensively in Europe and beyond, Susanna has also pursued a successful solo career under various monikers.
