Lochan Bhattarai is a renowned Nepali singer known for her versatility in singing folk and Adhunik music in various ethnic languages. She began her professional singing career about 14 years ago and gained fame with the song "Tada tada nabhaijau timi." Lochan is also recognized for her efforts in preserving Nepali folk music, believing in the importance of compiling folk tunes into written scripts to allow for further improvisation and evolution into new genres. Her music reflects Nepal's rich ethnic diversity, as she was born to a Bahun father and a Magar mother. Lochan is married to Chakra Khadka, a lecturer who supports her career as a mentor and soul friend.

Lochan's musical contributions include numerous singles, duets, soundtracks, and folk songs, along with albums like "Swor" and "Lochan Bhattarai at Patan Durbar," which features 16 songs performed at the Patan Museum.
