Kin'Gongolo Kiniata is a vibrant and innovative band from Kinshasa, DR Congo, known for their inventive blend of Afro-punk rumba and Congolese rhythms. What makes them truly stand out is their masterful use of recycled materials—plastic bottles, scrap metal, and household items—to create their own unique percussion and stringed instruments. Their name, meaning "the crushing sound," reflects the clang of metal containers carried by oil sellers during frequent power outages in Congo, a sound that also symbolizes their powerful, rebellious musical style.

Singing in Lingala, Kin'Gongolo Kiniata’s lyrics focus on themes of resilience, hope, and social justice, addressing everyday struggles like homelessness, war, and the fight for change. The five members—Leebruno, Mille Baguettes, Ducap, Djino Bass, and Bébé Mingé—bring joyful energy and resourcefulness to the stage, blending afropop, electrofunk, and punk influences.
