Chennai Street Band

Chennai Street Band is an alternative pop band from Chennai, India, formed in 2015 by singer-songwriter Srihari Jagannathan and drummer Goutham Healer. The band is known for its bilingual music, often singing and writing songs in both Tamil and Hindi. Their lineup includes Akshay Yesodharan and Renin Raphael on guitar, Adithya Gopi on bass, and Sebastian Satish on keys. Chennai Street Band has released several notable singles and albums, including "Udd Chal" and "Veliye Vaa Kannama" in 2017, and their full-length album "Payanangal" in November 2019, which explores themes of self-discovery and personal growth.

The band has been working on new projects, including a bi-lingual album titled "UPLIFT," which emphasizes uplifting and honest storytelling through music. Their music style is versatile, often blending genres like fusion rock and poignant ballads. Chennai Street Band aims to keep live music alive and create a platform for independent music in regional languages.
