SETE STAR SEPT

SETE STAR SEPT is a Japanese noisecore duo that has been eviscerating the underground music scene with their raw and unrelenting sound since their formation in Tokyo in 2004. Comprising vocalist/bassist Kae Takahashi and drummer Kiyasu, the band is renowned for their chaotic live performances and prolific recording output, embodying the DIY ethos to its core. The name "SETE STAR SEPT" comes from a term used in pachinko, a popular Japanese gaming device, and literally means "Seven Star Seven." Embracing the unpredictable nature of their namesake, their music is a ferocious blend of noise, grindcore, and free improvisation, characterized by guttural vocals, blistering drum work, and a complete disregard for conventional song structures.

The band's extensive discography is a testament to their relentless creativity and dedication to noise-making, with a large number of releases across various formats, from cassettes and vinyl to splits and compilations. Among their most recent works are the vicious "The Judgment By Reaper" and the pummeling "Underworld," both of which continue to push the boundaries of extreme music. Innovative releases like "Bird" and "Beast World" showcase the band’s ability to constantly evolve while albums such as "List of Assassin" and "Cdr Archive 1" collect their past sonic assaults for fans and completists. Collaborations and splits, such as those with Jucifer and Michael Crafter, illustrate their camaraderie and influence within the global underground community. "Back To The Origin" sees SETE STAR SEPT revisiting their roots while continuing to forge a path that is entirely their own, cementing their status as pillars of the extreme music subculture.
