Bouyon is a high-energy dance music from Dominica that fuses the percussion and call-and-response spirit of carnival rhythms with punchy drum-machine patterns, synth stabs, and heavy bass designed for sound systems. Built around fast tempos and rolling kick-and-snare grooves, it often layers chant-like vocals, witty Creole/French patois hooks, and rapid-fire toasts over bright, sometimes abrasive electronic textures.
