Coldwave

Coldwave is a dark, synth-heavy genre that emerged in the late 1970s and flourished in the 1980s, primarily in Europe. Characterized by its minimalist, mechanized rhythms, prominent use of analog synthesizers, and often, detached, languid vocals, coldwave music evokes a sense of urban alienation and post-industrial melancholy.
