Goa Trance

Goa trance is a psychedelic genre of electronic music that emerged in the late 1980s and early 1990s in Goa, India. It’s characterized by its complex, multi-layered arrangements, and driving, hypnotic rhythms, often ranging around 130 to 150 BPM. Featuring ethereal melodies and intricate acid lines, Goa trance creates an immersive auditory landscape that is both spiritual and mind-expanding. The genre often incorporates elements from Indian culture, such as traditional instruments and spiritual themes, weaving them into a cosmically expansive soundscape. Artists like Innerzone and Filteria encapsulate the genre’s essence with their vibrant, kaleidoscopic tracks that transport listeners into a trance-like state, fostering a communal, transcendental experience on dance floors worldwide.
