Indian Violin

Indian violin music is a subgenre deeply rooted in the traditional classical music of India, particularly in the Carnatic and Hindustani styles. The violin, although introduced to India by European colonizers, was quickly adapted and became an essential instrument in Indian classical performances. Artists like L. Subramaniam and Lalgudi G. Jayaraman have showcased its versatility by blending intricate raga structures and nuanced microtones characteristic of Indian music with the expressiveness of the violin.
