Lo-fi house is a subgenre of electronic music known for its warm, nostalgic quality achieved through the use of analog gear, vinyl sampling, and deliberate imperfections like tape hiss and vinyl crackle. Blending the melodic elements of deep house with the raw, unpolished textures of lo-fi, this genre often features lush pads, muted basslines, and steady, four-on-the-floor rhythms. Artists like Sweely, Khotin, and Demuja exemplify the genre's aesthetic, creating atmospheric tracks that evoke a sense of intimacy and introspection, often perfect for late-night listening sessions or chill, laid-back dance floors. The emphasis on mood and texture over pristine production makes lo-fi house a distinctive and emotive style within the broader spectrum of house music.
