Popullore Jugu

Popullore jugu, originating from the southern part of Albania, is a music genre deeply rooted in the region's rich cultural heritage. It is characterized by its strong traditional influences and the distinctive use of folk instruments such as the clarinet, llautë (a type of lute), and the def (frame drum). The music is notable for its intricate melodies, complex rhythms, and the passionate, sometimes mournful, expression of life's hardships and joys.
