Prog Metal

Prog metal is a subgenre of heavy metal music characterized by its complex rhythms, extended song structures, and eclectic blend of instrumentation. Emerging in the 1980s and 1990s, prog metal drew from the progressive rock tradition, incorporating elements of classical music, jazz, and folk into its sound.
