Trancecore is a subgenre of electronicore and metalcore that emerged in the late 2000s, characterized by its fusion of heavy, distorted guitar riffs, pounding electronic beats, and soaring, melodic vocals. This high-energy sound often features synthesized leads, pulsing basslines, and rapid-fire drumming, creating a frenetic, danceable atmosphere. As a distinct offshoot of the metalcore and post-hardcore scenes, trancecore drew inspiration from the euphoric, anthemic qualities of trance music and the aggressive, technical aspects of metal. During its peak in the early 2010s, trancecore gained popularity in the European and American metal scenes, particularly among fans of electronic-infused heavy music.
