Siiga

Siiga is the musical project of Scottish singer-songwriter Richard Macintyre, hailing from the Isle of Skye, a small Hebridean island off Scotland's coast. His sound is deeply inspired by the haunting landscapes and enchanting seas of his home, creating a mystical and celestial musical atmosphere. Siiga's debut album, *The Sea and The Mirror*, was crafted in a unique setting—a cupboard full of old coats during the melting of winter snow—and won critical praise, including BBC Radio Scotland’s ‘Album Of The Week’. The music weaves delicate songwriting with transcendental visuals, offering listeners a deeply emotive and immersive journey.

Following that, Siiga released *Gemini Rising*, an 8-song collection exploring themes of love, loss, and healing, which continued to receive praise for its emotional depth and sonic beauty. More recently, Siiga’s 2025 work, including the album *Nostalgia Burns*, stretches across genres with a blend of analogue warmth, vintage guitars, and ethereal synths, inviting listeners into a dreamy, layered soundscape reflecting on nostalgia and the modern digital world. Richard collaborates with bandmate Iain Hutchison and L.A.-based artist Sarah Jeanne Mgeni, pushing boundaries to create a unique and atmospheric musical experience.
