Michael England

Michael England is a highly versatile conductor, composer, and musical director known for his work across ballet, classical music, musical theatre, film, and live television. Born in Colchester, he studied at Huddersfield University and has since built an impressive career that includes conducting in the West End for major productions such as *Les Misérables*, *The Phantom of the Opera*, *Spamalot*, and *The Producers*. He has also served as Musical Director for national tours of *The Sound of Music*, *Evita*, and *Grease*, among others, and worked with renowned performers including John Barrowman and Olivier Award winner Ruthie Henshall.

England has made significant contributions to ballet as well, notably with the Shanghai Ballet, where he conducted and adapted the score for their production of *Hamlet*, which won a gold medal at China's Lotus Awards. He has also worked at the Royal Opera House on various Royal Ballet productions. More recently, he has been involved with recording and conducting orchestral versions of popular anime soundtracks, including themes from *JoJo's Bizarre Adventure*, *Attack on Titan*, and *Demon Slayer*, working with the NDR Radiophilharmonie orchestra. His broad expertise and adaptability across genres make him a distinguished figure in contemporary musical arts.
