Jonas Monar

Jonas Monar is a German singer and songwriter born on July 10, 1990, near Wetzlar. He grew up in a musical family and began playing the piano at the age of seven, later teaching himself to play the guitar. Monar's music career started early, with him writing his first song at 13 and forming a band with school friends. After the band disbanded, he moved to Berlin and began writing songs for other artists, eventually signing with Universal Music. His solo career took off with the release of his debut album "Alle guten Dinge" in 2017, which included the notable singles "Playlist," "Alle guten Dinge," and "Nie zu Ende." The latter became the ARD title song for the 2018 Winter Olympics, significantly boosting his popularity.

Monar's music style blends modern pop with classic rock elements, creating catchy and relatable songs that often explore themes of love and self-discovery. His subsequent releases, including the album "Immer Juli" in 2021 and more recent singles like "Bittersüss," have further solidified his position in the German pop scene.
