Benjamin Carter (born 2000) is a talented composer, conductor, pianist, and vocalist currently pursuing a Master of Music degree in Choral Conducting at the University of Louisville. He earned his Bachelor of Music in Music Composition from the same university in 2023, studying under notable instructors in composition, piano, voice, and conducting. Carter has gained recognition for his compositions, having his work performed by a range of ensembles from professional to university and church choirs. Notably, his choral piece *A Winter Night* won the most outstanding collegiate composition award from the Kentucky Music Educators Association in 2021. Alongside composing, he serves as Director of Traditional Worship at Watkins United Methodist Church in Louisville, where he directs the Chancel Choir and Handbell Ensemble and performs as an accompanist and solo pianist. He is also an active member of the Cardinal Singers and the Louisville Chamber Choir. Carter is open to new commission and collaboration opportunities in conducting, piano, and voice.
