Sloan

Sloan is a Canadian rock band formed in Halifax, Nova Scotia, in 1991. Known for their hook-laden power pop sound and democratic approach to songwriting, the band features all four members—Chris Murphy, Jay Ferguson, Patrick Pentland, and Andrew Scott—sharing songwriting and vocal duties. Over the years, they've built a dedicated fanbase and critical acclaim for their melodic sensibilities and tight musicianship. Their breakthrough came with their 1994 album Twice Removed, and they've since released a string of well-regarded albums that showcase their knack for harmony-rich, Beatlesque rock.

What sets Sloan apart is their consistency and longevity; they’ve stayed together for over three decades with the original lineup intact, a rarity in rock music.
