SSQ (sometimes called Stand Still Quietly) was a Los Angeles-based synth-pop act that carved out a cult following in the early 1980s with their moody, cinematic sound. Fronted by singer Stacey Swain, the band blended icy synths, punchy drum machines, and Swain’s dramatic vocals, landing their biggest claim to fame with the track “Tonight (We’ll Make Love Until We Die” featured in the 1985 horror-comedy
