Ely Buendia

Ely Buendia is a Filipino musician, singer, and songwriter best known as the frontman of the legendary alternative rock band Eraserheads. Formed in the early 1990s, the Eraserheads played a major role in shaping modern Filipino rock and pop music, with Buendia's songwriting and vocals at the heart of their sound. The band’s hits like “Ang Huling El Bimbo,” “Pare Ko,” and “With a Smile” became anthems for a generation and solidified their place in OPM (Original Pilipino Music) history.

After the Eraserheads disbanded in the 2000s, Buendia pursued a variety of musical projects, including bands like Pupil, The Oktaves, and Apartel, showcasing his versatility across genres from alternative rock to soul and funk. Over the years, he's also collaborated with other artists, continued to release solo material, and remained an influential figure in the Philippine music scene.
