A foundational figure in Spanish-language rock, he was part of the seminal 1960s Buenos Aires scene that birthed rock nacional, blending folk, blues, and poetic lyricism. After relocating to Spain in the 1970s, his career continued to evolve, cementing his status as a beloved cult figure and elder statesman whose influence spans generations.

His friendly, raspy voice and reflective songwriting have earned him the affectionate nickname "Señor Rock."
