Jae-Yeon Won

Jae-Yeon Won is a South Korean pianist known for his captivating performances and unique sound. Born on February 22, 1988, he gained recognition after winning the second prize and audience prize at the 61st Ferruccio Busoni International Piano Competition in 2017. Jae-Yeon Won has also won first prizes at the Karl-Robert-Kreiten Prize, the Ferrol International Piano Competition, and the Dong-A Music Competition. He has performed in renowned concert halls such as the Berlin Philharmonie, Herkulessaal in Munich, and the Seoul Arts Center, collaborating with orchestras like the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France and the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra.

Jae-Yeon Won's artistic foundation is rooted in his sensibility and intelligence, which he developed under the mentorship of Dang Thai Son and Kevin Kenner. He is a Steinway Artist and has released his debut album "Bach to Bartók" in 2020. In addition to his musical career, he made his debut in the documentary film "Chopin: I am not afraid of darkness" in 2023, which aims to promote peace and unity through music.
