Glitchcore

Glitchcore is a high-octane, experimental subgenre of electronic music characterized by its rapid, jittery beats, hyperactive rhythms, and distorted, fragmented sounds. It often incorporates elements of Hyperpop and blends them with a chaotic, lo-fi aesthetic, creating a unique auditory experience that feels both futuristic and fragmented. Vocals in glitchcore, often Auto-Tuned and heavily processed, interweave with layers of glitchy, disjointed synths and breakneck percussion to evoke a sense of digital disarray and emotional rawness. Embracing a DIY ethos, artists in the genre push technological boundaries to craft intensely personal yet universally frenetic compositions, delivering a soundscape that oscillates between chaos and coherence.
