Reggaeton

Reggaeton is a dynamic and infectious music genre that originated in Puerto Rico during the late 1990s, blending elements of Latin rhythms, dancehall, hip-hop, and electronic beats. Characterized by its distinctive "dembow" rhythm, reggaeton offers a pulsating, danceable sound that often features catchy, syncopated melodies, and repetitive yet compelling lyrical hooks. Artists like Baby Rasta & Gringo, Eddie Zuko, and Lyanno contribute to the genre's versatility, infusing it with a mix of romantic, provocative, and socially aware themes. The genre has evolved to include influences from contemporary pop and R&B, as seen with newer artists like KIDDO and Sofía Martín, ensuring its widespread appeal and enduring popularity across diverse audiences.
