Abe Rábade Trío

Abe Rábade Trío is a jazz ensemble led by the talented pianist and composer Abe Rábade, born in Santiago de Compostela, Spain, in 1977. The trio was originally formed in Boston in 1996 with Paco Charlín on double bass and Val Tzenkov on drums. Over time, the lineup evolved, and since 2008, it has consisted of Abe Rábade on piano, Pablo Martín Caminero on double bass, and Bruno Pedroso on drums. This configuration has produced several notable albums, including "Zigurat," "A Modo," "Versons," "Tránsitos," "Once," "Doravante," and more recently, "Sorte" (though not part of the trio's discography directly, it reflects Abe Rábade's broader work). The trio is known for its dynamic performances and has toured extensively across the globe, showcasing a blend of jazz with other musical influences.

Abe Rábade's work with the trio reflects his broader artistic vision, which often combines jazz with classical and traditional Galician music. His compositions are celebrated for their complexity and emotional depth, making the Abe Rábade Trío a standout in the jazz scene. The group's music has been recognized with several awards, including the Independent Music Award for "Zigurat" and the Martin Códax Award for "Versons." Their performances are a testament to the versatility and creativity of Abe Rábade and his collaborators.
