Dom & Roland is the recording alias of Dominic Angas, a pioneering figure in the drum and bass scene since the mid-1990s. Known for his deep, atmospheric sound and expert-level drum programming, Dom originally rose to prominence through releases on the legendary Moving Shadow label. His music combines dark, cinematic textures with hard-hitting beats, helping shape the techstep and neurofunk subgenres of drum and bass. His moniker “Dom & Roland” refers to his partnership with his Roland S760 sampler, an important piece of gear in the development of his early sound.

Over the years, Dom & Roland has released a steady stream of critically acclaimed albums and singles, both on his own Dom & Roland Productions imprint and on seminal labels like Metalheadz and Vision Recordings. Collaborating with fellow heavyweights such as Noisia, Amon Tobin, and Optical, Dom has maintained a reputation for pushing sonic boundaries while staying true to the genre’s underground roots.
