Federica Abbate is an Italian singer-songwriter and composer who has made quite a splash in the Italian music scene. Born on January 23, 1991, Abbate started playing piano at the tender age of five and began composing at eight. She's not just a musician though - she's also got brains to match her talent, having graduated with top marks in Sociology from the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart.
Abbate's career took off in 2013 when she won a songwriting contest that landed her a contract with Universal Music Group. Since then, she's been unstoppable, writing over 100 songs including some major hits for other artists. Her breakthrough came in 2015 with "Roma-Bangkok," which became one of Italy's best-selling singles that year. Abbate has also released her own music, including her debut EP "In foto vengo male" in 2018 and her first full studio album "Canzoni per gli altri" in 2023. She's not just behind the scenes - Abbate has collaborated with several high-profile Italian artists and even represented Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 with her co-written song "Nessun grado di separazione."
