Carpet of Horses is an indie rock band from Los Angeles, California. The band was formed in 2017 by singer-songwriter and guitarist Jake Sloan, bassist and vocalist Emily Rose, and drummer and vocalist Matt Johnson. The band's sound has been described as a mix of dream pop, shoegaze, and indie rock. Carpet of Horses has released two EPs, "Means to Be" (2018) and "Red Paper Flames" (2019), and one full-length album, "Collages, Vol. 1" (2021). The band has toured extensively throughout the United States and Europe, and has shared the stage with bands such as DIIV, Beach Fossils, and The Pains of Being Pure at Heart.
