Pure Reason Revolution

Pure Reason Revolution is a British progressive rock band known for blending lush harmonies, electronic accents, and spacey, atmospheric soundscapes with classic prog rock sensibilities. Originally forming in the early 2000s, the band gained attention with their 2006 debut album The Dark Third, which showcased their signature mix of Pink Floyd-inspired psychedelia and modern production. They later explored a more electronic and industrial style in albums like Amor Vincit Omnia (2009) and Hammer and Anvil (2010), before disbanding in 2011.

In 2019, Pure Reason Revolution reunited, reuniting core members Jon Courtney and Chloe Alper. They returned with the critically acclaimed album Eupnea in 2020, marking a return to their expansive prog roots. Their subsequent records, including Above Cirrus (2022) and Coming Up To Consciousness (2023), continue to reflect their evolving sound—balancing melody, complexity, and emotion—earning them a cherished spot among fans of modern progressive music.
