Hailing from Stockholm, Sweden, Unanimated emerged right in the thick of the legendary late 80s/early 90s Swedish death metal scene. Formed back in 1988 by members like Micke Jansson, Richard Cabeza, and Jonas Deroueche, they carved their own niche with a unique blend of raw death metal intensity, haunting melodies, and a distinct blackened atmosphere, becoming pioneers of the melodic black/death metal sound. After releasing their highly influential debut album "In the Forest of the Dreaming Dead" in 1993 and the follow-up "Ancient God of Evil" in 1996, the band went on a lengthy hiatus.

Thankfully for fans of that classic, dark Swedish sound, Unanimated roared back to life in 2009! They've been actively creating ever since, proving they hadn't lost a step.
