Gace Brulé was a French trouvère, or poet-musician, who lived in the 12th and 13th centuries. He was born in Champagne, France, and was active at the courts of Champagne, Flanders, and England. Brulé was a prolific songwriter, and his songs were popular throughout Europe. He was known for his witty and satirical lyrics, and his songs often dealt with themes of love, loss, and politics.
