KIRINJI has been crafting their signature blend of city pop, funk, and jazz-infused Japanese pop since forming in 1996. Founded by brothers Takaki and Yasuyuki Horigome (with Takaki handling vocals and Yasuyuki on bass), the group became known for their sophisticated grooves and nostalgic lyricism that feels both breezy and deeply human. Over their 25-year career, they’ve evolved from a full band setup to a more fluid collective centered around Takaki, whose smooth vocals and knack for earworm melodies remain the heart of their sound.
